To create a music video you have to have the sound recorded seperately. Then you record the dance and put it all together. Usually, in the dance, the people lip sing so it looks like they are actually singing. I enjoyed making the music video a little more. I wish we had spent more time videotaping. I enjoyed it more because I got to sing. (: I honestly didn't look at the rubric that much. I probably should have, it would have helped. The easiest part of filming is filming. Once you come up with ideas, the filming goes by really fast. The difficult part is editing because I like it to be perfect and I'm very picky. I was the leader in my group and I think I did okay. I think the best leader was Katrin. She has great ideas and keeps us on focus.

The writing assignment did help me learn about the French and Indian War. It was kinda a more fun way of knowing more about it. I think that the films helped more than the writing assignment. I don't really have a question about the war. I have been looking forward to this music video since I found out about it. (: I would much rather choose the genre. I can't really rap, so it would be interesting. I like country though and I can't wait to finish this video!

I thought it was interesting that the British won the war, but the war was so expensive that their governments attempts to impose taxes on colonists to help pay the expenses led to an increasing colonial resentment of British attempts to expand imperial authority in the colonies. I find this interesting because they did win the war, but it ended up causing them more problems. For the writing assignment, I would rather do a blog entry. My Thanksgiving plans consited of family coming in and a total of three dinners. (: This compares to the people back in the 1700s because they also all came together for a big feast.

I found that section 4 was most interesting. I thought the effects of the Great Awakening on everything was pretty amazing. I think the Great Awakening was a good thing, because it made all people feel equal. I liked the group with Kelsey, Drew, Edwin, and Erica. I thought the time travel was pretty creative. It explained the lecture the best, too. I wouldn't say that I thought of the film while I was taking the test, but it helped me better understand and comprehend it better. I love the idea of a music video! Music is my life, so I'm very much looking forward to this. (:

Making films has become a lot easier. Before, it was so hard to think of ideas. Now, ideas are pretty easy. I also used to dread filming, but now I enjoy it. I even like spending 3 hours editing the films. We really aren't having problems now. We get a little stressed about the due date, but we are doing pretty good. The videos do enhance the lecture. It's a different way of taking the information in. It's a more fun way to look at it. Katrin was our leader and she was a really good leader. She made up all the dialogs pretty much. She wrote everything down, and kept us all focused. I would like to see her as our leader again for our last film. I would like to try and redo things that aren't that great so our last video can be the best.

The chapter 4 test wasn't that hard. I've learned that if you study the tests are pretty easy. Pages 126-128 I found pretty interesting actually. I thought the triangular trade was pretty creative. My topic for filming is The Great Awakening, and the old lights and new lights. If I could do my idea, I might have suggested to do a taping of a revival. Gilbert Tennent would be preaching, and mostly discuss about the traditionalists and how much he dislikes them.

Massachusets was an early colony in New England. It began in the 1620s. They had a healthy climate. I think I could have live with the pilgrims because it is similar to the life styles we have now. I do look forward to films. They are fun. I want to do the topic women and the economy because it looks pretty intresting on page 135.

I would rate the powerpoint lecture at a 3. I like doing the powerpoints, because it is easy to take notes. I feel like I get to know the topics better, then when I just read the section. There was only one thing that I disliked about the lesson this week, and that was the Jepordy game. I got very mad during that game, but thanks to Miss G giving me the dog chow, I'm not mad anymore. I think I would have liked to explore with Cabeza de Vaca because I have always wanted to go to Texas, so it would be pretty cool. Also, he wrote a book about it, and I really enjoy writing. My group didn't change and I'm glad too. I like my group. (:

I would rate our video at a 8. The acting wasn't the best, but it had a nice outline. The movies enhanced the lecture because it had more effect to it. I really liked the group Camden's video. I would have enjoyed doing that topic too. Originally, I had that topic picked out, but they said they wanted to do it first. I thought we had enough information, but you can always make it better with more information.

I definitely found it difficult to think of a creative idea to express history. At first I was thinking in the lines of a reenactment but I found it hard to do with our topic. I really work well with Katrin, she is always thinking of ideas and working as hard as she can. I was the group leader in our group and I think I did okay. At least, after we finally figured out what to do. I believe there was enough time for this assignment because we videotaped one idea and didn't like it, so we completely changed our video and actually got it done too. My role in the film was that I was this girl who was lonely and only dated losers and my friends were trying to set me up so I went on a speed date. If we had more time I probably would have retaken some of our scenes to make the acting a little better, but other than that I really liked our idea. It was fun too.

I don't remember the lecture at all. The next video I am looking forward to. I really think doing these videos is going to be fun. It's a different and fun way of doing history. Especially since history isn't one of my favorite subjects, it helps me not get too bored. I think if I could add someone to my group it would be Randy. He knows all about doing videos and he is very creative. I am definitely not a creative person.

I have to admit we have had trouble with being creative. I think once we all get used to being in front of the camera, it will be okay. Planning the video hasn't been easy, but we have filmed a different variety of things. My group members are great, I'm really excited that we have an exchange student in our group because it will give us some more cultural experience. She knows five languages too, which might be useful in videos. All three of us get along though, and I think it makes it easier that we are all girls. The video camera is very easy and simple to use. Nobody in our group has had any difficulties so far. The name of our group is Long Island, which is a place in New York.

My first impressions of my American history class are okay. At first, I had trouble paying attention, but then I realized that that if you don't pay attention you won't do well in this class. I would like to learn more about the wars that Americans have been in. To be more specific, I would like to know more details about the wars. I think the largest obstacle for me will be wanting to pay attention, because in the past and even now I find history a little bit boring. Although so far, I have actually found some things interesting.
